Your day to day

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Observe hotel and department policies.

• Use tools safely and correctly\xc2\xb7 Check the clipboard and daily assignment sheet for job assignments

\xc2\xb7 Communicate the status of job assignments and maintenance requests to the Assistant Chief Engineer or Lead Engineer

\xc2\xb7 Assists and provides guidance for co-workers

\xc2\xb7 Maintains a clean work area

\xc2\xb7 Requisitions and follows up on needed materials

\xc2\xb7 Responds to emergencies

\xc2\xb7 Responds to trouble calls when directed to do so by the Duty Engineer

\xc2\xb7 Reviews and completes daily trouble call log when assigned to respond to trouble calls

\xc2\xb7 Assists guests with requests \xe2\x80\xa2 Cleans engineering ship and any other area assigned by the Supervisor

\xc2\xb7 Set up and maintain color charts and samples

\xc2\xb7 Performs general maintenance duties, including but not limited to minor electrical, kitchen, plumbing, and laundry repairs, pool

\xc2\xb7 cleaning and chemical tests, and water testing on hot and chilled water systems

\xc2\xb7 Paint walls ceilings, baseboards, doors, frames, and moldings using standard painting equipment

\xc2\xb7 Paint walls, ceilings, baseboards, doors, frames, and moldings using standard painting equipment

\xc2\xb7 Hang vinyl wallpaper

\xc2\xb7 Stain and refinish furniture

\xc2\xb7 Texturize ceilings and walls

\xc2\xb7 Operate a spray gun and associated equipment

\xc2\xb7 Repair furniture, doors, baseboards, and moldings

\xc2\xb7 Replace hardware on doors and windows

\xc2\xb7 Renovate existing wooden structures as required

\xc2\xb7 Manufacture new wooden furnishings and projects as required

\xc2\xb7 Notifying appropriate individuals promptly and fully of all problems and/or unusual matters of significance

What we need from you

Key Skills & Experiences

• Minimum 2-3 years of previous painting experience in a commercial, industrial, or residential environment
• Skilled with rollers, brushes, and spray painting equipment
• High school diploma and courses in professional painting preferred
• Ability to mix and match paint colors, able to do specialized types of painting
• Must be able to work in high areas
