PRIMARY ROLE This is a critical Finance role in the Middle East Cluster (ME), reporting to the Finance Director Middle East and will be part of the ME Finance Leadership Team. The incumbent will lead the performance management and business planning processes and provide finance support to ME Leadership Team on key commercial, business development and efficiency initiatives. As a trusted finance business partner, incumbent will play a critical role to support the ME cluster operations through managing multiple workstreams where the primary focus will be managing business planning, support decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating information; recommending actions. Ensure business partnership and support business functions with proper analysis and relevant data to develop solutions recommendations. This includes both quantitative and qualitative analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, working with large data sets, developing reports as well as creating presentations for leadership team. The role requires frequent interaction with the ME leadership, the finance teams in ICMEA, the finance teams in other ICMEA LOCs and the occasionally Finance team in GEM HQ, Singapore. The incumbent will be lead and be part of a FP&A team based in Dubai, UAE and KSA, with 2 direct reports. The role is a springboard to other exciting finance career opportunities across ICMEA and Takeda. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Organize ME business planning processes (Mid-Year Commitment, Mid-Range Plan, Long-Range Forecast) to deliver long-term sustainable growth and improved profitability
Track and analyse current business results to understand key underlying performance trends and risks and opportunities, and use these insights to help senior management make balanced decisions and drive performance
Support ME Finance Director to drive a consistent approach and metrics for evaluating and tracking financial plans and performance across the franchises
Help deliver ME efficiency and margin improvement goals by preparing strong analysis tools to measure KPIs
Develop and maintain close relationships with Finance partners in ICMEA Area and LOCs, TBS, GEM HQ and PDT BU, to ensure full understanding and support for ME business
Member of ICMEA FP&A community, enhancing planning processes and business partnering capabilities through best practice sharing, training and reporting systems/tools development
Support implementation of global systems and process harmonization across ME, while promoting culture of “unleash the power of data and digital”
Ensure sound documentation for MRP, MYC and LRF with respect to internal controls in collaboration with ME accounting and controllership function
EDUCATIONAL, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Science or equivalent
MBA or MS/BS in Finance or Accounting (Preferred)
Professional accounting/finance membership such as CPA, CIA, CFA or equivalent
At least 7 years finance experience, within a multinational environment
Extensive experience in financial planning processes (budgeting, forecasting, etc) and financial consolidation of complex market/product portfolios
Experience in implementing/improving financial systems. SAP, HFM, Power BI are major plus
Pharmaceutical and FMCG experience a plus
Previous regional or multi-country experience is preferred
Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
Ability to work effectively with members at all levels of the organization
Curious, questioning, a passion for really understanding the business beyond numbers
Hard working, with the flexibility to occasionally work across different time zones
