The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating industrial forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and stack goods and materials within the warehouse or production area.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load, unload, and transport materials, pallets, and finished goods between storage, production Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts (e.g., battery levels, fluid levels, tire conditions). Keep accurate records of material movements and report inventory discrepancies. Assist with general warehouse duties such as packing, labeling, inventory counts, and cleaning. Ensure all safety procedures are followed, including proper stacking and securing of loads. Collaborate with warehouse, production, and quality teams to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid forklift certification/license required. 1+ year of experience operating forklifts or similar equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness. * Good physical condition; ability to lift up to [50] lbs and stand for long periods.
