Forklift Operator
Job Title: Forklift Operator
Department: Warehouse / Logistics / Production
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Logistics Manager
Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading, and stacking of materials and products within the warehouse, yard, or production facility. This role is critical to maintaining an organized workflow and ensuring the integrity of materials.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach trucks, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
• Transport raw materials to production lines and move finished goods to storage.
• Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and adherence to storage plans.
• Perform pre-operation equipment checks (e.g., brakes, horns, forks, fluid levels) and report any malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking materials moved and their locations.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Assist in general warehouse duties, such as counting and organizing inventory, as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret packing slips, orders, and inventory reports.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
• Attention to detail and a high level of spatial awareness.
