We are seeking an experienced operator to safely operate the shovel/payloader heavy equipment at our site. The operator will load and move materials, support site material handling, perform routine checks and maintenance, and ensure safe and efficient operations in line with site targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the shovel/payloader to load trucks, stockpile materials (soil, sand, gravel, aggregates) as per site requirements.
Perform pre-start, pre-operation, and post-shift inspections (controls/hydraulics/tyres/tracks/bucket etc); report any issues or hazards.
Coordinate with truck drivers, other equipment operators, labourers and supervisors to ensure smooth material flow.
Follow all site safety and traffic protocols; maintain a tidy work area; use appropriate PPE.
Perform basic maintenance tasks (lubrication, clean filters/sensors, tighten bolts) and ensure equipment hand-over in good condition.
Maintain accurate logs: equipment hours, material tonnage, shift handover notes, any stoppages or incidents.
Ensure compliance with production/loading plan, quality requirements, and site productivity targets.
Participate in safety meetings/toolbox talks; help mentor less-experienced operators or crew when required.
Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor (e.g., assist in site housekeeping, other plant operation if needed).
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must hold a valid UAE Heavy Equipment Operator licence
Category 8
(or equivalent heavy mechanical equipment licence) for
of experience operating shovel/payloader or similar heavy equipment in a construction / quarry / industrial site.
Ability to speak and understand
English
(for coordination, safety instructions and reporting).
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow best operation practices.
Good physical stamina to operate equipment in outdoor/heavy environments.
Willing to work shifts/overtime as required by site operations.
Basic mechanical aptitude for minor troubleshooting is an advantage.
Minimum age: 20 years (or as per site/local regulation)
