to oversee, coordinate, and manage all on-site activities related to interior finishing, carpentry, and joinery works. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality finishes in line with project specifications, deadlines, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of carpentry and finishing crews on site.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Ensure finishing works (doors, cabinetry, moldings, wall paneling, ceilings, partitions, flooring, etc.) are completed to design specifications and quality standards.
Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and storage for finishing and carpentry works.
Allocate work to tradesmen and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
Inspect work to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to health & safety regulations.
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other site supervisors for smooth workflow.
Report site progress, delays, issues, and workforce needs to the project manager.
Maintain and enforce site cleanliness, safety procedures, and company policies.
Identify design or construction issues and suggest practical solutions.
Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in finishing and/or carpentry works.
Proven experience with fit-out, joinery, woodwork, and finishing in residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
Strong knowledge of materials, installation techniques, and finishing standards.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures and local building regulations.
Ability to manage a team under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Trade certification or diploma in carpentry, construction management, or related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Attention to detail and high standards for quality.
Hands-on experience in carpentry or finishing.
Computer skills for reporting and documentation (basic MS Office).
Familiarity with project management software or apps is a plus.
