Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman with a strong background in landscape, irrigation, and civil works. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the UAE, supervising landscape and irrigation installations, as well as managing civil works. The Foreman will be responsible for overseeing on-site activities, coordinating teams, ensuring the efficient installation of irrigation systems, and ensuring the successful completion of civil and landscape elements, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision & Coordination:

Lead and supervise a team of technicians and laborers, ensuring effective coordination for landscape, irrigation, and civil work tasks. Provide training, support, and motivation to ensure team performance meets project standards.

Irrigation System Installation:

Supervise the installation of various irrigation systems (sprinklers, drip systems, automatic controllers, etc.), ensuring that the systems are installed according to the design plans, meeting both quality standards and water conservation goals.

Landscape and Civil Work Supervision:

Oversee civil works related to landscape projects such as grading, excavation, drainage installation, and paving. Ensure that landscape features (planting, water features, hardscaping) are constructed to specification.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all landscape, irrigation, and civil work is carried out in accordance with project plans, industry standards, and local regulations. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the installation is completed to a high standard.

Site Management:

Coordinate all on-site activities, including material deliveries, resource allocation, and daily tasks. Ensure that the site is organized, clean, and safe at all times, following health and safety protocols.

Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve issues related to irrigation, landscaping, or civil works promptly to avoid project delays. Provide technical solutions to ensure smooth project execution.

Material Management:

Oversee the procurement, storage, and efficient use of materials for landscape, irrigation, and civil works. Maintain an inventory of materials, ensuring the right quantities and types are available on-site when needed.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on-site. Ensure that team members are trained in safety procedures and that all work complies with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Progress Reporting:

Report daily or weekly progress to the Project Manager or Site Manager, including any issues or concerns that may impact the project timeline or quality.

Client & Consultant Interaction:

Communicate with clients, engineers, or consultants regarding project requirements, site conditions, and progress updates. Ensure client satisfaction with the landscape and irrigation work.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman in landscape, irrigation, and civil works, with hands-on experience in landscape design, irrigation system installation, and civil construction. Previous experience working in the UAE or the GCC is a must.

Educational Background:

A technical diploma or certification in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Irrigation Systems, or a related field. On-the-job training and prior work experience are also highly valued.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, irrigation system installation, and civil works (grading, drainage, paving, etc.). Proficient with the tools, equipment, and materials required for these tasks.

Leadership & Communication Skills:

Excellent supervisory and communication skills with the ability to manage a team effectively, coordinate with contractors, and communicate with clients and project managers. Knowledge of English (Arabic is a plus).

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:

Ability to resolve technical issues and make quick decisions to ensure that the project remains on schedule and within budget.

Knowledge of Local Regulations:

Familiarity with UAE construction and environmental standards, including regulations related to irrigation systems, water conservation, and health and safety.

Attention to Detail:

Strong attention to detail to ensure that work is carried out accurately and to the highest standards, meeting all project specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with modern irrigation technologies, including smart irrigation systems. Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices and water-efficient solutions. Familiarity with civil works in landscape projects, such as earthworks, grading, and drainage systems. Certification in health and safety practices (e.g., First Aid, OSHA).
