Job Summary: As a Foreman you will report to the Chief Executive Officer \xe2\x80\x93 Grand Flora Group. You will play a crucial role of determining product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to blueprints, oral or written instructions, drawings, or work orders. In addition, you will oversee on \xe2\x80\x93 site construction and installation activities to ensure the successful execution of our projects. You will also supervise a team of skilled labours and technicians, maintain a safe work environment and adhere to design specifications while effectively communicating with the clients and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Supervision: Manage and supervise on \xe2\x80\x93 site construction and installation activities, ensuring that work is completed in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. \xc2\xb7 Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of skilled labor and technicians (carpenters, painters etc.) providing guidance and direction to ensure efficient project execution. \xc2\xb7 Project coordination: Collaborate with project managers, designers and subcontractors to coordinate workflow, scheduling, and material requirements for each project. \xc2\xb7 Quality Assurance & Control: Ensure that materials meet the required quality standard and are suitable for the intended project. \xc2\xb7 Ensure the quality and craftsmanship of all interior installation, paying close attention to detail and design specifications. \xc2\xb7 Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, and addressing any safety concerns promptly. \xc2\xb7 Material Selection & Management: Understanding the different types of wood and other materials needed for specific projects, considering durability, cost, storage, aesthetics etc. \xc2\xb7 Oversee the procurement, storage, distribution of materials and equipment necessary for each specific project. \xc2\xb7 Sourcing Suppliers: Identify and establish relationships with suppliers or vendors to procure wood, hardware, adhesives, and other necessary materials. \xc2\xb7 Cost Management: Budget and cost the estimation for the required materials, while ensuring the procurement stays within the budget constraints. \xc2\xb7 Compliance: Ensure that all procurement processes adhere to the relevant regulations and guidelines. Technical Skills: \xc2\xb7 MS Office Software proficiency (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Education/Qualification: \xc2\xb7 Trade Certificate in wood work or joinery work is preferred. \xc2\xb7 Minimum five (5) years working experience in managing a wood work factory and furniture design or production experience is preferred. \xc2\xb7 In depth understanding of joinery and different types of wood, and wooden paint. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge in supervising and managing a team i.e. carpenters, painters etc. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of safety regulations is required. \xc2\xb7 Experience in wooden design, fabrication, quality control and installation of wood work. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge in project management i.e. understanding of project site measurements, design, layout etc. \xc2\xb7 Experience in client interaction and design and drawing discussion. \xc2\xb7 Experience in scheduling, logistics, procurement of material related to production and operations.
