Job Purpose

To organize production activities of the small works division to execute joinery works in accordance with the approved design, quality and agreed time in a cost effective manner

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

To prepare a Cutting List, which clearly define the complete measurement such as length, height, breadth etc… based on the final approved drawing.

Check & allocate timber based on the density, moisture content, appearance and other specification required for the production.

Allocate the timber based on the cutting list & drawing to the workmen to ensure optimum utilization of the resources such as the manpower, machines and tools.

Supervise the work regularly, provide on the spot guidance to ensure high quality craftsmanship and keep senior production supervisor posted on the progress of production. Intervene & resolve/change details as and when required to facilitate smooth implementation of installation as per plan

Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles

Job Requirements
Trade apprenticeship or a higher secondary education.
5 to 7 years experience in the joinery industry with up to 2 to 3 years in a supervisory capacity
Cutting sheet experience required
AutoCAD experience preferred
Good excel skills required
