Forecast/ccar Manager

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible to manage and handle: 1) end to end process for comprehensive capital analysis and review (CCAR) ; 2) ensure timely and accurate forecasting; 3) Perform and manage stress testing processes. The responsibility will go across all the geographies of the ME cluster and will require in deep understanding of products and portfolio trends as well as an accurate knowledge of the markets, their economy and possible crisis factor. The incumbent will work closely with the other functions within the Cluster Risk Management team in setting up business objectives (forecast) and track against those. She or He will leverage Regional and Global expertise in ensuring the most accurate, timely and complete CCAR submissions
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and maintain accurate portfolio forecasting including weekly Flash, mid-year-forecast and Plan reporting.
  • Promptly highlight variances in portfolio and product trends towards target and prior months which underline risks or opportunities
  • CCAR — perform CCAR forecasting; develop, enhance and maintain all CCAR related documentation; attest quarterly CCAR submission.
  • Calculate and timely submit ACL requirement, ensuring accuracy of data and that approved amount is reflected in each business balance sheet.
  • Attest regulatory reporting (IFRS9, FDIC, local reporting, etc.).
  • Ensure Risk generated data reconcile with Financial Control figure. Ensure monthly reconciliation process is in place.
  • Create and maintain Stress test application and documentation including ICAAP and Central Bank stress testing. Ensure accurate and timely submission of IFRS9 and tracking of key stress indicators.
  • Work cross-functionally with key business partners to ensure the most accurate forecasting and prediction of portfolio trends in light of change in underlining market dynamics.
  • Work with the Country Risk Manager in preparing presentation and/or meetings. Prepare monthly deck for the Risk Committee or any other committee
  • Work with Regional and Global risk teams to share information, share advances / new ideas, understand policies, and optimize programs.
  • Ensure compliance with the Global Consumer Credit and Fraud Risk Policies. Understand and be the local expert on the Global Consumer Credit and Fraud Risk Polices.
  • Develop, enhance, maintain and monitor forecasting tools in order to ensure the most accurate prediction of losses.
Qualifications:
  • Min 5 years' experience in consumer credit. Product, policy and process knowledge acquired over his stint in risk management.
  • Strong Analytical skills and excellent analytical thinking. Strong foundation in data analytics and segmentation methodologies. Great emphasis on big picture, but with the ability to dig into data and perform root cause analysis. Understand statistical and economic relevance of results. Be a data-oriented thinker that uses the available information to data mine and find opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Citi Risk Governance procedures, Global Consumer Credit and Fraud Risk Policies (GCCFRP) internal/ regulatory reviews
  • Able to make decisions by gathering the appropriate information available with a focus on deadlines.
  • Knowledge of a P&L and Balance Sheet. Understand credit cycle and repercussion of policy, process changes to the portfolio trends.
  • Familiarity with CECL. CCAR expertise
  • Knowledge of financial and credit forecasting methodology
Education:
  • Masters or higher degree in analytical field and/or relevant work experience.
  • Programming: SAS, SQL, General Query Tools
