Position Overview
Al-Futtaim Group is seeking a Food Technologist to oversee food safety compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across its operations in partnership with Marks & Spencer (M&S). The role is pivotal in ensuring that all food products, processes, and facilities meet international standards, local regulations, and company benchmarks, while supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality products to customers.

Core Duties

• Ensure compliance with M&S and UAE food safety standards across products, facilities, and processes
• Monitor KPIs such as audit results, testing outcomes, and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Drive labeling compliance with local and international regulations
• Conduct horizon scanning for regulatory updates and ensure timely adaptation of policies and practices
• Oversee allergen management, cleaning procedures, and product process guidelines across hospitality operations
• Collaborate with Technical Services Leads and local teams to align compliance strategies with operational execution
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions to maintain consistent standards

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline
• 4-5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or compliance within FMCG, hospitality, or retail sectors
• Strong knowledge of local and international food safety regulations
• Proven track record in audits, compliance management, and food safety governance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively across cross-functional teams
