Position Overview
Al-Futtaim Group is seeking a Food Technologist to ensure compliance with Marks & Spencer (M&S) standards and local food safety regulations across its food operations in Dubai. The role focuses on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to guarantee safe, high-quality food products and processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting audits, governance reviews, and operational safety measures.
Core Duties

• Lead food safety governance by monitoring KPIs including complaints, audits, and product testing outcomes
• Ensure full compliance of product labeling with M&S requirements and local regulatory standards
• Conduct horizon scanning to anticipate and adapt to changes in food safety laws and industry practices
• Maintain and improve compliance across hospitality operations, covering cleaning procedures, allergen control, and Product Process Guidelines (PPGs)
• Oversee manufacturing and operational processes to ensure compliance with M&S and local food safety frameworks
• Support technical audits, review depot and store operations, and implement corrective actions where needed
• Collaborate with Technical Services Leads and other food technologists to align operations with international best practices
• Prepare and submit reports on compliance, risks, and improvement opportunities for leadership review

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline
• Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience in food safety, quality assurance, or compliance within FMCG, retail, or hospitality sectors
• Solid knowledge of UAE food safety laws and international regulatory frameworks
• Experience conducting audits and managing compliance processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments
• Proactive and adaptable professional with the ability to handle multiple priorities
