OPENING FOR FOOD RUNNER

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of food orders from the kitchen or food preparation area to the customers at a street food stall or food truck. Coordinating with the kitchen staff, delivering orders accurately and efficiently, and providing excellent customer service. Maintaining customer satisfaction and optimizing the efficiency of food service operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Received food orders from the kitchen staff or food preparation team, ensuring that each order is complete and accurate.

2. Verify order details, including items, quantities, and any special instructions or modifications, before delivering them to customers.

3. Deliver food orders to customers promptly and courteously, ensuring that they receive their orders while they are still hot and fresh.

4. Coordinate with the Order Taker or cashier to match food orders with corresponding customer tickets or receipts to minimize errors.

5. Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, confirming their orders and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

6. Provide additional condiments, utensils, or napkins as requested by customers, ensuring that their dining experience is pleasant and enjoyable.

7. Double-check each food order for accuracy and completeness before delivering it to the customer, ensuring that all items are included and prepared according to the customer's specifications.

8. Communicate any discrepancies or issues with food orders to the kitchen staff or food preparation team for immediate resolution.

9. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the food preparation area, including food storage containers, utensils, and serving trays.

10. Dispose of food waste and packaging materials properly, keeping the food service area clean and free of clutter.

11. Collaborate with kitchen staff, Order Takers, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient food service operations.

12. Performs other duties assigned.

Qualification, Experience & Knowledge

High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a food service or hospitality environment. Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating bills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
