Food Runner
Location: Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reports to: Restaurant Supervisor / Head Waiter
Job Overview:
The Food Runner is a vital link between the kitchen and the dining room. Your primary focus is to ensure that dishes are delivered accurately, promptly, and presented perfectly to the correct guests, supporting the wait staff and enhancing the overall speed and quality of service.
Key Responsibilities:

• Expedite food from the kitchen to the dining floor, coordinating with chefs and waiters.
• Verify the accuracy, presentation, and temperature of each dish against order tickets before leaving the kitchen.
• Deliver food to the correct table and guest, announcing dishes as required.
• Assist waiters with pre-bussing tables and clearing used dishes and glassware.
• Maintain clear communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Restock side stations with clean cutlery, napkins, and condiments.
• Ensure food delivery areas and pass are kept clean and organized.
• Assist with basic setup and resetting of tables during peak periods.
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant is preferred.
• Ability to carry multiple plates and trays safely and efficiently.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-pressure environment.
• Basic knowledge of menu items.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
