for our organization in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality food products at competitive prices, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement in compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers for food items, ingredients, and packaging materials.
Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and pricing agreements for perishable and non-perishable goods.
Ensure food procurement aligns with health & safety, quality, and halal compliance regulations.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory/warehouse team for timely replenishments.
Track vendor performance (quality, delivery timelines, consistency) and recommend improvements.
Stay updated on market trends, seasonal product availability, and cost fluctuations.
Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure long-term cooperation and reliability.
Coordinate with finance and operations departments to ensure smooth invoice processing and budget alignment.
Ensure compliance with UAE food import laws, municipality regulations, and company procurement policies.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in food procurement or purchasing within the UAE market.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of UAE food supply chains, vendors, and local/international import channels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, or procurement software.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of HACCP, ISO, and UAE food handling regulations.
UAE driving license preferred.
Ability to handle pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
