The Fine Dining Waiter for Omakase is responsible for delivering an exceptional, personalized dining experience to guests through attentive service, deep product knowledge, and refined hospitality standards. This role requires understanding the chef's vision, menu storytelling, and anticipating guest needs in an intimate omakase-style setup.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of personalized service in an omakase dining environment.
Present and explain each course, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings.
Coordinate closely with the chef to ensure seamless timing and presentation between kitchen and service.
Maintain the highest standards of table setting, cleanliness, and service etiquette.
Anticipate guest needs and preferences, ensuring an exceptional dining journey from start to finish.
Assist with guest seating, beverage service, and menu recommendations.
Handle reservations and special requests professionally.
Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly resolve any service concerns.
Support daily opening and closing procedures, side duties, and inventory control for service items.
Uphold brand standards, grooming, and service protocols at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience in fine dining or omakase-style restaurants.
Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and beverage pairing (especially sake and wine).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail, presentation, and guest relations.
Ability to work calmly and professionally in an intimate, chef-driven setting.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Japanese terminology is an advantage.
