About the Role
Majid Al Futtaim Retail is seeking an experienced FMCG Category Manager to manage and optimize product categories, ensuring a strong supply chain, competitive pricing, and high-quality product offerings. The role involves collaborating with buyers, sourcing suppliers, and implementing procurement strategies to drive sales and profitability in the fresh food category.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers to achieve cost savings and quality enhancements.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing strategies to secure favorable terms.
- Evaluate supplier performance and assess risk factors in supply contracts.
- Research market trends and consumer demands to introduce high-performing products.
- Expand supplier networks and attend trade shows to discover new product opportunities.
- Manage category profitability by controlling procurement costs and maximizing efficiencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- 5-7 years of experience in fresh food category management.
- Strong business communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset with a strong aptitude for decision-making and working with numbers.
- Experience in supplier relationship management and procurement strategies.
