Primary objective
To ensure process design is not compromised while managing the execution of the project.
Carry out simulations, hydraulics, flow assurance during FEL1 to FEL 3, Detailed design.
Specific Accountabilities
Strong Technical Knowledge in various process software. Independently perform steady and transient state hydraulics. Good knowledge of API standards that are used in performing these calculations.
Very strong knowledge of HYSYS, HYSYS, DYNAMICS, PIPENET, PIPESEIM, TLNET, TGNET, OLGA, FLARENET
Have performed Flare calculations using Flare Net
Sound knowledge on Flow assurance and dynamic simulations is a must.
Familiarity on analysis of the waxy oil pipeline, hydrate formation.
Should be able to perform blowdown, over pressurization calculation, Wax deposition analysis using OLGA Wax module to determine inhibition, insulation and intervention requirements.
Thermal-hydraulic analysis of the waxy crude cross-country export pipeline. Assess wax build-up rate during normal production and shutdown using OLGA wax module. Determine pigging and the restart pressure requirements, slug catcher sizing, surge analysis and surge mitigation options
Experience in preparation of Simulation reports, surge analysis report, transient analysis report , steady state hydraulics report, wit clear conclusion and recommendations.
Shall work under the supervision of Lead engineer for the project with effective communication with Engineers and Designers.
Capable of executing multiple tasks and delivering it efficiently within specified schedule.
Experience in working on steady state and transient state design activities (Mandatory Requirement) such as;
Preparation of simulation/transient and steady state Basis of Design document
Technical discussions with the client, project manager and other discipline leads to resolve the project issues.
Preparation of other technical reports as required by the project.
Fire water steady and transient analysis
Cross country pipelines
Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Worley Quality Assurance system relevant to the Oil & Gas Business Unit
Safety - Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for the Oil & Gas Business Unit.
Essential Skills/Experience
Engineering Degree in Chemical engineering
Working experience in an engineering consultancy involved as simulation or FA engineer
12+ Years design experience in the simulation or FA engineer with strong experience in process plant, Oil and Gas pipelines.
Good understanding of relevant international codes & standards e.g. API, ASME, IP, NACE, BP etc.
Good communication and technical writing skills in English language
Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritisation of work to achieve them.
Good Team Player
Active contributor in developing creative solutions to optimize work delivery and an avid learner.
Computer skills particularly in the use of PIPESIM, PIPENET, OLGA, FLARE NET, HYSYS Steady and dynamics softwares and knowledge of MS Office, Math Cad, etc..
Experience on middle east (particularly ADNOC) Onshore and offshore projects will be of advantage.
