The Floor Supervisor oversees daily operations on the workshop floor, ensuring the timely and efficient repair and maintenance of customer vehicles. This role includes managing mechanics, coordinating workflow, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring top-quality service delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day workshop operations and staff including technicians, mechanics, and helpers.
Assign and schedule repair jobs based on priority and staff availability.
Ensure that all vehicle repairs and services are performed correctly, efficiently, and safely.
Inspect completed jobs to ensure quality control and adherence to manufacturer or garage standards.
Communicate clearly with the service advisor/front desk to provide updates on job progress.
Manage inventory levels for tools, parts, and consumables; report shortages to management.
Enforce workplace safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workshop.
Train and support new or junior technicians to maintain consistent performance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues as needed.
Maintain detailed records of job orders, time taken, and parts use
Prepare Job Cards for every car seperately.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in automotive repair, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role in UAE.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with auto repair software is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Mostly garage/workshop environment.
May involve physical activity, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
Occasional extended hours or weekends during peak workload periods.
