Fleet Services Supervisor

Job Description

Job purpose The Fleet Services Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the company's transportation division, including planning, scheduling, coordination, systematization, tracking, fuel efficiency, etc. This individual will work closely with the Operations Manager, Inventory team, drivers, vehicle maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the transportation division. Key responsibilities ? Plan and coordinate all transportation activities, including the coordination of drivers and vehicles, systemizing the current transport landscape, tracking of vehicles, and fuel efficiency. ? Develop and implement an efficient transportation system to ensure timely delivery of vehicles between all company's yards and auction centers, to branches, to customers. ? Manage and digitally maintain accurate records of all transportation-related activities, including vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and driver schedules. ? Prepare and manage transportation budgets, including vehicle maintenance, fuel expenses, and other related costs. ? Monitor and analyze transportation-related data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to management. ? Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation regulations and laws. ? Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth transportation operations and timely delivery of goods. ? Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation vendors and suppliers. ? Provide training and guidance to drivers on safety procedures, equipment usage, and proper maintenance of vehicles. ? Develop cost-saving initiatives and methods against set KPIs in the division. Person Specification ? Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. ? Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation coordination, logistics, or related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role or above. ? Must speak English and preferably Hindi/Urdu. ? Proven track record of developing and implementing efficient transportation systems and managing transportation budgets. ? Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors. ? Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite. ? Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws. ? Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement. ? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. ? Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed. ? Strong leadership and team management skills. ? Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire team members and drive results.
