Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive

Fleet Officer

to manage and oversee our vehicle fleet, including cars, trucks, and other heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

workshop management

,

preventive maintenance

, and the

coordination of large fleets

. This role ensures the optimal performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness of the entire fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day fleet operations including vehicle scheduling, allocation, and tracking. Oversee workshop operations, ensuring timely servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Maintain detailed records of vehicle inspections, servicing, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs. Monitor and ensure compliance with all transport regulations and company policies. Supervise and coordinate workshop staff and external service providers. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess vehicle conditions and workshop efficiency. Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components. Handle breakdowns and emergency repairs efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime. Assist in the procurement, registration, and disposal of vehicles as required. Implement and track KPIs related to fleet utilization, maintenance cost, and vehicle downtime.

Requirements:

Proven experience (5+ years) in fleet management, including workshop oversight. Strong technical knowledge of a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy equipment. Hands-on experience with fleet management systems and maintenance tracking software. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure. Valid driver's license (Class A/B/C as applicable). Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or a related field. Knowledge of local transport regulations and safety standards.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in Fleet Management or Automotive Maintenance. Experience managing a fleet of 100+ vehicles. Familiarity with GPS tracking and telematics systems.
