Position Overview
The Fleet Marine Superintendent role with Achieve Group in Dubai is a senior shore-based opportunity for an experienced Master Mariner with strong LPG and ethylene carrier sailing background. This position supports one of the world's largest gas carrier fleets, focusing on vessel safety, cargo operations, compliance, and crew performance across a group of LPG and petrochemical vessels.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational aspects of assigned LPG and ethylene vessels including navigation, mooring, deck equipment, safety systems, port operations, and STS activities
• Ensure safe and efficient cargo operations covering loading, discharging, grade changes, and tank preparation
• Coordinate with technical teams on drydock specifications, planning, and execution
• Oversee and manage third-party inspections such as SIRE, CDI, PSC, USCG, terminal, and flag state inspections
• Conduct management inspections and internal audits, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented
• Review and respond to vessel reports including navigation, safety, inspections, near misses, and incidents
• Liaise with class societies, oil majors, ship owners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure certification compliance
• Review vessel documentation and records to meet international and company regulatory standards
• Prepare and deliver training programs for officers and crew
• Conduct safety, environmental, and security drills to assess onboard preparedness
• Carry out officer appraisals and recommend development or corrective actions
• Investigate incidents and accidents onboard when appointed by fleet management

Ideal Profile

• Holder of a valid Master Mariner Certificate of Competency
• Sailing experience as Master or Chief Officer on LPG, ethylene, or ethane vessels
• No prior shore-based experience required
• Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and vessel management standards
• Ability to travel at short notice and manage a 24-7 operational support role
• Independent, organized, outcome-driven, and resourceful professional
• Strong team orientation with the ability to manage cross-functional and external stakeholder relationships
