GMG is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize the operations of its 200+ commercial vehicles across all Emirates. The role is critical to ensuring fleet efficiency, regulatory compliance, and cost control across GMG's logistics, retail, and distribution network. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, operational planning, and analytical skills to manage fleet performance, safety, and service reliability while supporting GMG's growing business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, allocate, and optimize deployment of over 200 commercial vehicles to support logistics and distribution across all Emirates.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and oversee repairs to ensure safety, performance, and minimal downtime.
• Ensure complete regulatory compliance, including vehicle licensing, registration, and insurance in accordance with UAE transport laws.
• Obtain and renew distribution permits for food, non-food, and pharmaceutical transport in line with municipal and MoHAP regulations.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, HR, Finance, and Procurement teams to support fleet-related needs and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners such as workshops, insurers, logistics vendors, and government entities.
• Monitor and control fleet operational costs including fuel, tolls, maintenance, and insurance.
• Manage fuel consumption through fuel card systems, track efficiency, identify abnormalities, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Oversee toll systems (Salik, DARB) including balance management, top-ups, and monthly usage reporting to Finance.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections with RTA and relevant authorities to maintain compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
• Lead a team of fleet coordinators, drivers, and mechanics to ensure high performance and accountability.
• Analyze fleet data, generate performance reports, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fleet operations management, preferably in logistics, FMCG, or distribution sectors.
• Proven experience managing large fleets across multiple Emirates.
• Strong knowledge of UAE transport regulations, licensing, and safety standards.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management systems, GPS tracking software, and MS Office applications.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization and cost efficiency.
• Valid UAE Driving License preferred.
