A well-established interior fit-out company is looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across various interior fit-out projects. The role involves close collaboration with consultants, clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that MEP works are delivered to the highest standards and in line with project requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Middle East in a similar role, preferably in interior fit-out projects.
Valid UAE driving license.
Proficient in AutoCAD and MEP design software.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Sound understanding of local building codes and regulations.
Team-oriented with the ability to coordinate across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Planning:
Develop MEP design plans, specifications, and detailed drawings in line with project goals and local codes.
Coordination:
Collaborate with consultants, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within the overall fit-out design.Supervise the installation and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.Prepare accurate cost estimates and monitor budgets for MEP-related works throughout the project lifecycle.Enforce quality control protocols and conduct inspections/tests to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.Maintain up-to-date records of MEP designs, installations, and maintenance. Prepare as-built drawings and documentation for project handover.Ensure all MEP works are executed in accordance with health and safety regulations and best industry practices.
