Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort lies 15 minutes south of the city centre and 40 minutes from Seeb International Airport. The overall development will include a 1,200 square meters Talise Spa, a diving centre, a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, a selection of restaurants, bars and cafes and a kids club. The resort will also include conference and banquet facilities to cater for Oman's growing attraction as a destination for conferences, meetings and large-scale events. The resort forms part of a larger development that includes 300 high-end residential townhouses and villas, taking advantage of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt coastline in the Middle East. About the role An exciting role has arisen for a talented and energetic Fitness Instructor Role to join the pre-opening at Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort. The main purpose of this role is to assist the Sports & Leisure Director, Sports & Leisure Manager / Asst. S&L Manager to plan, organize and supervise the overall operation of the health club in order to maintain quality standards and achieve complete guest satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conduct and lead yoga classes. Consulting with guests to understand their goals and current fitness levels. Leading regular group workout classes. Working with management and fellow colleagues to ensure the gym functions effectively. Follow all standard operating procedures, as specified by the hotel and Dubai Municipality Liaise with line management and guests on a daily basis. Formulate training plans for the members and supervising the guests and members. Ensure all equipment is cleaned and operated in accordance with the operating instructions from the manufacturer. Formulate marketing plans and activities to maximize the use of the gymnasium. Liaise with all colleagues in a fair and professional manner, concentrating on development of the business and employee skills. Perform duties of duty manager as and when required. Responsible for the timekeeping records of the gymnasium colleagues and rota allocation (in the absence of S&L Manager). Maintain all necessary forms and records needed. Maintain the cleanliness of fitness assessment room. Prepare / plan a monthly fitness timetable (in absence of S&L Manager) Maintain the health card record for any freelancer instructor. Provide orientation to clients prior to undertaking a fitness program. Apply basic exercise science to fitness activities. Undertake client induction and screening. Develop basic fitness programs. Apply basic exercise science to exercise instruction Use and maintain core fitness industry equipment. About You In order to be considered for this role, you should have the below qualifications and experiences. To have obtained and passed Personal Training Certification from reputable organization such as The American Council on Exercise (ACE) or similar and experience working in the Health and Fitness industry in a 5 star Hospitality environment Additional group exercise class qualifications Fluent in English at Business Level in verbal and written communications Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) Preferably worked in a 5 star hotel or any service industry Able to Multi Task Out going and assertive Good Listener About the Benefits This position offers a highly competitive salary and package which includes; housing, flight tickets, medical, life and accident insurance, retail and leisure discounts, discounts on Jumeirah F&B Outlets and reduced hotel rates.
