Your Day to Day: As a Fitness Instructor, is it your responsible to develop training and fitness education program for our guests and maximizing the experience of our guests and members while using fitness center. At InterContinental Hotels & Resorts we look for people who are charming, confident, and internationally-minded; people who know what it takes to exceed guest expectations. Some of your main role responsibilities are:

• Organize and supervise regular gym / fitness related activities and events to maximize members enjoyment / use of fitness studio and to keep ahead with our competition
• Develop workout programs and health promotion programs according to Hotel standards and safe industry practices
• Develop and maintain professionally safe and effective fitness procedures, programs and activities in the fitness studio and ensure proper fitness practice at all times
• Monitor exercising customers and provide fitness assessment and feedback.
• Assist guest in safe exercising and proper body alignment, provide personal training and prescribe workout programs for guest.
• Co-ordinate the exercise program and fitness studio usage and continually seek ways of introducing new ideas to maximize revenues
• Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of the fitness studio equipment as per standards and equipment is always in good working order
• Welcome all guests to the gym and provide a gym orientation, including basic fitness assessment.
• Being knowledgeable on gym equipment, exercises and overall health and wellness to be able to guide guests accordingly.
• Daily cleaning of gym facilities, equipment and furniture as per cleaning schedule.
• Responsible for providing guest service as per standards ensuring an optimal guest experience.
• Abide to departmental policies and procedures.
• Reports all incidents or other irregularities to the Supervisor immediately.
• Undertakes to maintain qualifications as deemed necessary by the Hotel, ensures the safe management of the gym. Including but not limited to First Aid Certification.
• Understands and strictly adheres to the Rules & Regulations established in the Hotel\xe2\x80\x99s policy on Fire, Hygiene, and Health & Safety.
• Take initiative always to ensure guest safety and satisfaction, being flexible with taking on other responsibilities as and when required by the hotel operation.

Ideally, you\'ll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we\'re looking for:

• Qualification in Fitness is mandatory, with Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructor / Gym.
• Diploma in Health, Fitness, and Exercise Instruction.
• Previous experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel within Middle East.
• Adequate English language communication skills is required.
