Job Description

The Fit-Out Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising interior fit-out works for commercial, residential, or retail projects. The role involves ensuring that all interior construction, finishes, and installations meet design specifications, quality standards, timelines, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project drawings, specifications, and design documents for fit-out works. Coordinate with architects, clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of interior works. Prepare detailed work schedules, material take-offs, and procurement plans. Supervise on-site fit-out activities including partition works, ceilings, flooring, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) interfaces, and finishes. Monitor quality of workmanship to ensure compliance with design and project standards. Conduct site inspections, progress reporting, and resolve technical issues promptly. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site. Assist in cost estimation, budget control, and reporting for fit-out projects. Manage subcontractors and labor force efficiently to meet project deadlines. Participate in handover processes and final inspection for project completion.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Proven experience in fit-out projects, preferably in commercial, retail, or high-end residential sectors. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, finishes, and interior systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred:

Experience in leading teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
