? We're Hiring: FinOps Analyst! ?
The FinOps Analyst will support the day-to-day financial operations of CLIENT Department's multi-cloud and multi-tenant environment (Private Cloud, Azure, AWS, Oracle Alloy/OCI). The role focuses on monitoring cloud usage, generating cost reports, supporting chargeback models, and ensuring accurate billing for ~200 government entities. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills who is eager to grow into a FinOps career

What You'll Do:
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Usage & Cost Monitoring
o Collect and analyze daily/weekly cloud consumption data across on-prem and public cloud platforms.
o Generate usage and cost dashboards for internal teams and customer entities.
o Identify anomalies or unexpected spend and escalate to the FinOps Specialist.
- Chargeback / Showback Support
o Maintain and update entity-level cost allocation reports.
o Assist in implementing the multi-tenant cost recovery model.
o Support monthly reconciliations with finance.
- Billing & Reporting
o Validate vendor invoices against internal usage records.
o Support true-up/true-down license and subscription reconciliations.
o Prepare cost summaries and presentations for management reviews.
- Process & Governance Support
o Document FinOps procedures and maintain compliance with financial policies.
o Support audit readiness by keeping accurate cost data and evidence.
o Participate in workshops and training to raise FinOps awareness across teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, IT operations, or cloud billing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, VMware, OCI) is a plus.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills; Power BI or similar tools preferred.
- Basic knowledge of IT procurement, budgets, and licensing, Analytical mindset with attention to detail and Ability to communicate findings clearly to both finance and IT teams.
Preferred Certifications
- FinOps Certified Practitioner (FCP) - optional but encouraged.
- ITIL 4 Foundation or Cloud Fundamentals (AWS, Azure, VMware) is a plus.
