Job Description

Job Purpose

To perform high-quality finishing carpentry work including installation, repair, and finishing of wooden elements in residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, ensuring accuracy, craftsmanship, and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret

drawings, blueprints, and specifications

. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, MDF, plywood, veneer, and laminate. Install

doors, frames, cabinets, wardrobes, skirting, cornices, wall panels, counters, partitions, etc.

Perform

finishing works

including sanding, laminating, edge banding, varnishing, and polishing. Repair and maintain wooden structures, furniture, and fittings. Ensure measurements are accurate and joints/edges are properly aligned. Install hardware such as

hinges, handles, locks, runners, and accessories

. Coordinate with other trades (painters, electricians, plumbers) on-site. Follow safety guidelines and maintain tools in good condition. Report material requirements and site issues to the supervisor. Maintain clean and organized work areas.

Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma / technical certificate in carpentry or related field. Minimum

2-5 years

finishing carpentry experience in UAE/GCC (preferred). Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements. Knowledge of materials (wood, MDF, laminate, veneer, HPL). Skilled in hand tools and power tools. Good attention to detail and finishing quality. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long hours. Ability to lift and move materials/tools safely.

Working Conditions

Site or workshop environment. May require overtime, weekend, or night shift depending on project demand.
