We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work on various projects that require precision and attention to detail. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for the final touches on construction projects, ensuring that all elements are completed to the highest standards.
Duties
Fabricate and assemble wood structures, including cabinets, doors, and mouldings
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various carpentry tasks
Perform joinery work to create strong and durable connections between materials
Execute roofing tasks as required, ensuring proper installation and finishing
Conduct heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and completing installations
Carry out construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of finished projects
Assist with plumbing tasks related to carpentry work when needed
Engage in masonry work for structural support or decorative elements
Provide electrical assistance on projects requiring basic wiring or fixture installation
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in carpentry with a focus on finish work. Familiarity with fabrication and assembly processes is essential. The following skills are highly desirable:
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to carpentry
Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and practices
Experience in roofing, plumbing, masonry, and basic electrical work is advantageous
Ability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently
