Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled carpenter with experience in working with MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) and other materials to build custom exhibition stands, cabinets, and other wooden structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, an eye for detail, and the ability to bring creative designs to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Exhibition Stands:

Design, build, and assemble exhibition stands and displays according to specific client requirements, ensuring precision and high-quality finishes.

Cabinetry:

Create and install custom cabinets, shelving units, and other wood-based fixtures, ensuring quality craftsmanship and functionality.

Material Handling:

Work with MDF, plywood, and other wood-based materials, using hand tools, power tools, and machinery as required.

Measurement and Cutting:

Accurately measure, cut, and assemble wooden components according to design specifications.

Finish and Polish:

Sand, stain, paint, or apply other finishes to wooden surfaces to achieve the desired look and durability.

Collaboration:

Work closely with designers, project managers, and other team members to meet project deadlines and ensure client satisfaction.

Maintenance & Repair:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wooden structures as needed, ensuring long-term quality and safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a carpenter, with a focus on exhibition stands, cabinetry, and wooden furniture. Proficient in working with MDF, plywood, and other wooden materials. Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Detail-oriented, with a high standard of quality in finished work. Good understanding of safety protocols and best practices in woodworking. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the design and build of custom exhibition stands or similar projects. Basic knowledge of carpentry software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) is a plus. Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced or client-focused environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy materials and tools. Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods. Comfortable working with power tools and machinery.
