The Finishing Carpenter will ensure high-quality craftsmanship, precision, and aesthetic excellence in all completed projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and finish interior trim, baseboards, crown molding, wainscoting, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials with precision.
Sand, stain, seal, and finish wood surfaces to achieve desired appearance and durability.
Repair or replace damaged woodwork, fixtures, and furniture.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and client expectations.
Collaborate with contractors, designers, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a
Finishing Carpenter
or similar role.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools (e.g., miter saws, routers, sanders, nail guns).
Strong knowledge of wood types, finishes, and installation techniques.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
