Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Finishing Carpenter with 2-4 years of proven experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to execute precise carpentry work on various fit-out and construction projects, ensuring a superior final finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation:

Precisely install doors, windows, frames, architraves, skirting, decorative moldings, cabinetry, bespoke furniture, and other finishing elements.

Measurement & Cutting:

Accurately measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, laminates, MDF, and other materials according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Surface Preparation:

Prepare surfaces for finishing, including sanding, sealing, and minor repairs, ensuring a smooth and ready base.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough quality checks on all completed work to ensure it meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, aesthetics, and project specifications.

Tool Operation:

Proficiently and safely operate a wide range of hand and power tools relevant to finishing carpentry (e.g., saws, planers, routers, nail guns).

Blueprint Interpretation:

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand project requirements and dimensions.

Collaboration:

Work effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and other tradesmen to coordinate tasks and ensure seamless project execution.

Maintenance:

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure a clean and organized workspace.

Safety:

Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as local health and safety regulations.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve carpentry-related issues or imperfections efficiently.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 2-4 years of verifiable experience as a Finishing Carpenter, specifically on fit-out or construction projects.

Location:

Must currently reside in Doha, Qatar, with valid Qatar ID/residency and immediate availability.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in all aspects of finishing carpentry. Excellent knowledge of various wood types, materials, and their applications. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. High level of precision and attention to detail. Skilled in using and maintaining a wide range of carpentry tools.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and highly organized. Physical stamina and dexterity required for manual labor.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in carpentry is highly preferred.
