Position Overview
The Financial Services Enterprise Architect role at Al-Futtaim Group is a senior strategic position responsible for defining, governing, and evolving enterprise-wide architecture across business, application, data, integration, and cloud domains within the Financial Services line of business. Based in Dubai, this role plays a critical part in driving large-scale transformation initiatives, ensuring architectural alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and long-term technology roadmaps. The role acts as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT stakeholders, shaping future-state architecture while enabling innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the target enterprise architecture aligned with business strategy and financial services transformation goals
• Develop business architecture and capability models and perform maturity assessments across the organization
• Define solution approaches in response to business demand and conduct impact analysis across systems and platforms
• Lead architecture reviews for major initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards and strategic direction
• Identify, assess, and recommend new technologies and platforms through RFIs and RFPs
• Evaluate application portfolios to support consolidation, modernization, retirement, and upgrades
• Define and govern application, data, integration, and technology standards
• Participate actively in enterprise architecture governance forums and decision-making processes
• Research emerging technologies to address capability gaps and support innovation agendas
• Lead proof of concept and proof of technology initiatives for new solutions
• Facilitate scoping sessions and architecture workshops with business and IT stakeholders to align roadmaps and priorities

Ideal Profile

• Strong enterprise-wide perspective with the ability to align technology strategy to business outcomes
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture domains including business, data, application, and technology
• Proven ability to assess complex environments and provide clear, actionable architectural recommendations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level presentations
• Strategic mindset with hands-on experience driving transformation in regulated environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, including at least 5 years within financial services or banking
• Certification in an Enterprise Architecture framework such as TOGAF
• Experience with banking reference frameworks such as BIAN
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture toolsets, preferably LeanIX
