The company, headquartered in London, has a strong focus on emerging markets, driving growth and innovation within these dynamic regions.The RoleThey are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Dubai, DIFC. This role will support our commodities trading business and report directly to the Head of Financial Reporting in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting, and tax support within a dynamic and growing environment. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, capable of managing complex financial operations and contributing to strategic financial planning. * Financial Accounting:
  • Oversee daily financial operations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and insights.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Financial Reporting in London to ensure consistency and alignment with global financial strategies.
  • Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Tax Support:
  • Manage and oversee all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
  • Provide strategic tax planning support to optimize the company\'s tax position.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with departmental heads.
  • Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing actionable insights to improve financial performance.
  • Assist in the development of long-term financial strategies and objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing robust internal controls and procedures.
  • Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to maintain the integrity of financial data.
The Candidate
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the commodities trading or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and tax management.
  • Must have asset management experience
