JOB SUMMARY

Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making processes within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations that contribute to our financial strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection and Analysis:
- Extract and compile financial data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and financial software.
- Clean, validate, and transform raw data into usable formats for analysis.
- Utilize statistical techniques to analyze and interpret financial trends, patterns, and anomalies.

2. Financial Reporting:
- Develop and maintain regular financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Prepare and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex data into actionable insights.

3. Forecasting and Budgeting Support:
- Collaborate with the Finance team to assist in the creation and management of financial forecasts and budgets.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and variance analysis.

4. Data Integrity and Quality:
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data quality checks and collaborating with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Implement best practices for data documentation, storage, and security in compliance with industry regulations.

5. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance data-related processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Propose and implement data-driven solutions to address financial challenges and improve decision-making.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various teams, including Accounting, Risk Management, and Operations, to gather data and insights for informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a finance-related role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and statistical software.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Excel) to create compelling visualizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
  • Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.
  • Coordinates, implements and follows up on Accounting SOP audits for all areas of the property.
  • Complies with Federal and State laws applying to fraud and collection procedures.
  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Compiles, codes, categorizes, calculates, tabulates, audits, or verifies information or data.
  • Balances credit card ledgers.
  • Verifies contracts for groups and performs credit reference checks for direct billed groups if necessary.
Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals
  • Achieves and exceeds goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
  • Ensures profits and losses are documented accurately.
  • Monitors all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued.
  • Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
  • Completes period end function each period.
  • Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge
  • Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of return check procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the Gross Revenue Report.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency with write off procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency with consolidated deposit procedures.
  • Keeps up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Uses computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, develop financial spreadsheets, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.

  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
