Position: Financial Controller
The Role - Financial Controller
We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused Financial Controller to operate as a critical extension of the CFO. It requires strong financial literacy, financial operational oversight, advanced experience in financial banking, financial regulatory awareness and the ability to serve as a responsible financial decision maker.
The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of financial operations related to banking products while also acting as a proxy for the CFO across high-stakes conversations with auditors, investors, partners and regulators.
This is a pivotal leadership role as we build a world-class fintech backbone under a regulated entity.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Systems Analysis

• Analyze financial systems and services related to fintech, and coordinate with products and operation teams to modelize products/services into financial flows.

• Lead the development of financial forecasts, business plans and performance dashboards.

• Deliver insight-driven reports and financial models to senior leadership, board, and investors

Strategic & Executive Support

• Represent the CFO in key meetings with auditors, investors, regulators, and partners.

• Drive financial strategy execution, investor communications, and business case modeling.

• Prepare financial content for board decks, funding rounds, and business planning

Financial Operations & Management

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, reporting, and liquidity planning

• Deliver timely and accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually)

• Manage treasury and optimize capital allocation across entities and initiatives

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with banking and financial regulations relevant to fintech operations (e.g.,

central bank regulations, AML/KYC requirements, tax laws).

• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and legal counsel to ensure proper governance and risk

management.

• Own internal financial governance frameworks and controls

Team Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team with clear KPIs and workflows

• Serve as the primary financial liaison across departments, including Product, Risk, Technology, Marketing and others.
