Job Title Financial Controller

Description

Reports to: Manager - Management Accounts
2. ROLE PURPOSE:
Ensure a robust financial support function to the Offshore Services Division (MOD) management on a timely basis as well as providing support to Management Accounts Department and meet the objectives and target set by Finance & Control Division.
3.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
A. Maintaining monthly vessel utilization statement combining the on/off hire reports and a control statement for the billing purpose of the charter hire and other services of the unit. Ensuring timely and accurate billing process for the charter hire and all other services provided by MOD with required supporting documents and also liaise with Finance Billing for coding accuracy.
B. Checking the suppliers invoices for contracts with MOD, coding those invoices, obtain required approval for those invoices, preparing the Payment Approval Form (PAF) and pass it to Finance AP team for respective payment.
C. Preparing monthly detailed financial performance report for individual vessels revenue, operating costs and operating profit comparing with monthly and year to date budget and transmit to Division Manager and Team Leaders according to information limit and a summary report for Division Manager.
D. Preparing Quarterly Revenue Analysis Report with Budget comparison for Division Managers presentation.
E. Coordinate in the yearly budget process as the focal representative for the MOD unit. Preparing the Revenue Budget for MOD in consultation with the Division Manager and check the overall budget for the unit.
F. Provide required studies for the Charter Hire Day Rate for the newly purchased and the currently operating vessels and assist in the commercial submission required.
G. Checking the Petty Cash Reports for MOD representatives for General Purchases, Transport, Food Allowance etc. and the coding.
H. Checking the PR's raised for the unit through the MAXIMO system for GL Coding and pass it for
Knowledge:
A. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
B. Internationally recognized Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent)
C. A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in the related field.
D. Extensive experience of complex financial accounting in the oil and gas industry is required.
Skills:
A. Excellent oral and written communication skill in English and the ability to collaborate in a multicultural, multinational team environment.
B. Ability to work to a very high level of detail and accuracy.
C. Must have the necessary IT skills to work with advanced spreadsheet applications and complex accounting systems (Maximo and Oracle)
D. Must have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with the numerous working interfaces.
E. Whilst being capable of working under pressure have the ability to prioritize multiple requests from Dept./Divisions to ensure requirements are met.
