Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to work for our firm. The role involves a sound understanding of accounting, auditing and tax. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting, strong analytical skills, and relevant prior experience.
Job Profile:
1. Bookkeeping and General Ledger Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
Post journal entries and manage the general ledger for various transactions.
Perform monthly book-closing activities.
2. Financial Reporting and Statements Preparation
Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, such as IFRS.
Provide detailed cash flow analysis and projections to management.
3. Reconciliations and Compliance
Perform regular bank reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies.
Oversee accounts, security deposits, and lease-related reconciliations.
Identify areas for financial process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
4. Taxation (VAT and Corporate Tax)
Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, including accurate calculations, filing, and payment processing.
Manage Corporate Tax (CT) compliance by ensuring accurate calculation and timely submission of tax returns.
Assist in preparing tax reports and providing necessary documentation for audits.
Stay updated on changes to VAT and CT laws and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
