Location: Dubai, UAE Job Objective: Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices. Perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accountants.
- Manage tax audits and tax returns.
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures/Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.
- Plan, assign, and review staff\xe2\x80\x99s work.
- Primary responsibility is to prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
- Training and mentoring junior staff.
- Reconciliations including General Ledger and Balance Sheet.
- Processing of accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals.
- Managing inter-company transactions and their reconciliation.
- Cost reporting.
- Approving journals.
- Project profitability review (PC\\PR).
- Financial forecasting for the region.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good time-management skills.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently or as a team member and a diverse group of people.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles.
- Must be a certified Chartered Accountant/ACCA
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience up to finalization of accounts.
