Our client is well-established engineering manufacturing and trading organization with operations across the GCC. As part of their growth, we are recruiting a UAE experienced financial analyst with strong cost management experience to join their Dubai operations.

The role will be responsible for producing analysis and management reports related to cost and profit analysis for trading operations enable strategic business planning.

Candidates must have strong experience in identifying business drivers, perform cost and variance analysis and implement new procedures to increase revenue and profitability.

Role Summary

• Prepare cost analysis, recommend and implement financial controls, initiatives and policies to drive process and cost improvements a to reduce costs, improve cash flow and increase revenue and profitability.

• Track and carry out variance analyze of actuals against budgets and make recommendations for reducing the gaps in operating costs.

• Carry out life cycle cost-benefit analysis and capital expenditure ROI analysis.

• Compile, analyze and report on manufacturing and supply chain cost variances and expenses, identify root cause and drive gross margin improvement.

• Prepare monthly reconciliations of inventory based on raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods.

• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting; inventory valuations and audits.

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for valuations and reconcile inventories to improve working capital.

• Prepare, analyze and issue weekly flash reports for labour and material usage and overhead costs across all business units.

• Implement standardized costing methodology for all trading activities encompassing price to cost variance cost revaluations, invoice to PO price variances and depreciation.

• Analyze and validate changes in scope of work, raw materials, manufacturing and supply chain to determine the effect on finished product costs.

• Collaborate with sales to prepare financial models to improve pricing and predict future trends using pricing algorithms.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 7+ years' strong experience in financial analysis, cost management accounting, financial forecasting, planning, scenario simulations and management reporting in manufacturing.

• Proven ability to develop financial models and analysis; automated forecasting tools and reporting to support strategic decisions.

• Deep working knowledge of financial statements and drivers that reduce overhead costs and optimize revenue and profitability.

• Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis experience with the ability to independently produce monthly financial management reports.

• Experience of preparing cost management KPIs and dashboards.

• Proficient use modelling and data query/data management tools - Access, SQL, Business Objects, Excel VBA and pricing algorithms.

• Advanced Excel skills including VBA, VLOOKUPS, Pivots with advanced data manipulation ability.

• Experience of XERO and/or QuickBooks Online is an advantage.

Education

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or CPA is mandatory

Candidate Profile

• Currently living in the United Arab Emirates - must be able to live and work in Dubai.

• Fluent in English.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with function and senior management.
