Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and assess trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions. The Financial Analyst provides financial knowledge and controllership to the Non plant areas. The role is responsible for the preparation of the shared non plant forecast/budget of the as well as for providing a global view on this areas by working collaboratively operational business partners and entities, ensuring use of common processes and best practices. Furthermore the role bridges results and analyses trends, identifies business inefficiencies and potential areas/ recommendations of improvement.

Forecast and Budget of Shared non plant P&L for Electrical Subvertical

Analysis of non plant P&L for Electrical Subvertical coordination actions between entities and operational teams on the non plant area.

Bridges results (actual/fcst/budget) and communicates gaps of performance in a comprehensive way to enable management decisions and conclusions

Provide service and support in terms of analysis and data to functional leaders on the non plant areas.

Work collaboratively with the functional areas on identifying issues and help on their resolution

Creation of transparency in all non plant areas by implementation of new reporting tools and analytics

Best Practice sharing / Coordination & training / Know-How transfer/ Standardization of reporting (e.g. action plans; KPI's) within Industrial group on the area of non plant/ops

Performing cost center control, including cost center accounting, control cost of functions on the non plant (Indirect spend cost control and hiring plans...) and ensure proper report of productivity

Control and ensure proper report of Cost of poor Quality, Inventory costs, Productivity and associated KIP's

Control Material burden cost and recoveries (Freight and Distribution cost, Purchasing costs)

Project work and special tasks, e.g. provide analysis of financial impact of decision making

Supports Delegation Of Authority process

What your background should look like:

University degree (economics or controlling preferred).

Plant controlling and or International experience is a plus

+ 3 years experience in controlling in a manufacturing environment (industrial preferred)

Good SAP knowledge is required

Fluency in English both written and spoken is required - French is desirable

Understanding of manufacturing organizations and supply chains, manufacturing budgeting, forecast processes, consolidation and functional expenses.

Experience in statistical analysis and financial modelling

Accurate, systematic, and independent work style

Strong analytical skills and hands on mentality and ability to work in fast paced environment

Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and Culturally sensitive

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, especially Excel
