As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular financial reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data and identify any discrepancies or errors.
  • Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, monitoring payment schedules, and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Oversee the general ledger and journal entries, ensuring proper classification and recording of financial transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing input and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators, such as revenue, expenses, and profit margins, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide support in decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and financial audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess financial controls and identify any areas of risk or non-compliance.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, implementing necessary adjustments to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
  • Support the finance team in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:
  • Preferably candidates with Pre-Opening & Cluster Hotel Operations experience.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant in a hotel or hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of hotel financial operations.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in using financial management software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong ethics and integrity, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial information.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in conducting financial audits and internal controls assessments.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of hotel revenue management and cost control principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems and financial software is an advantage.
