Job Description

  • Manage the finance and accounts teams and maintain proper financial and cost accounting records of all transactions in line with IFRS and IAS to produce the Periodical and Annual Financial Statements in Compliance thereof. Plan, develop and manage policies, procedures and practices to ensure that objectives and goals are met in accordance with the set policies, international accounting standards & principles and government regulations. Support the establishment of appropriate budgeting and MIS systems that provide controls over expenditures made to carry out business activities; such as marketing, production, and maintenance or capital expenditure activities such as construction or equipment purchasing. Liaise with the external auditors and work with the DGM - Finance to finalize required audits and obtain audit reports from statutory (external) auditors. Support the head of finance in all business financial related matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date accounting financial records of the company in accordance with IFRS and IAS to streamline and enhance financial management and reporting processes.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of management accounts, utilizing ERP system for all accounting and costing functions with a special focus on purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, cash and banking, nominal ledger and stock control in accordance of IFRS.
  • Provide the Head of Finance with proper financial reports, supporting treasury management and banking functions.
  • Analyze company financials; propose corrective actions to address adverse performance. Provide timely and robust financial analyses to support business decision-making process.
  • Assist the head of finance in managing and overseeing the budgeting process including effective planning, budgeting assumptions and risks analysis.
  • Review and develop effective and robust policies and control procedures. Develop risk management strategies and processes. Ensure effective and efficient internal controls and systems are in place.
  • Review, develop and implement financial information systems to meet the organization\'s needs, including:
  • ERP financial system
  • Customers information/ Contract management system
  • Payroll system.
  • Assist the Head of Finance to ensure the company\'s liquidity, solvency and Cash Flow Management. Make sure it earns the maximum return on liquid assets and incurs minimum expenses on borrowed capital.
  • Support the Head of Finance in managing and controlling all capital and revenue budgets.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and positive working relationships with the internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that the finance and accounting teams provide the necessary support and guidance to other departments.
  • Exercise internal control and manage the financial risk of the company including verification and processing, of receipts and payments, and execution of payments to the extent of delegated Signing Authority.
  • Develop strong capabilities and skills within finance team members to deliver finance department objectives through a structured training and on the job training and manage the team performance process.
