Job Description

The Role

Guildhall is seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Manager to join our client's growing retail/fashion business. This is a foundational role that will be responsible for establishing the entire finance function from the ground up, including systems, processes, compliance, and financial planning. The ideal candidate will be both hands-on and strategic, with experience in retail or fashion environments. Key Responsibilities: - Set up and lead the full finance function such as accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls - Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and accounting systems - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management - Manage cash flow, working capital, and supplier payments - Handle inventory accounting and cost of sales analysis - Collaborate with operations, retail, and merchandising teams to support business decisions - Ensure VAT/tax compliance and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities - Build and lead a small finance team as the business grows - Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.



Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA is a plus) - 6+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in retail or fashion - Proven experience in setting up or transforming a finance department - Strong knowledge of ERP/accounting software and financial modeling - Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities - Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
