Position Overview
The Finance Manager role at GMG Sports in Dubai is responsible for developing and implementing robust financial processes aligned with legislative and company requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance financial dashboards using Power BI to support business decision-making
• Deliver daily financial and management reporting for the Sports Division
• Prepare monthly Business Review decks highlighting performance gaps, risks, and resource allocation needs
• Analyze retail KPIs including sales bridges, price-volume mix, and profitability drivers
• Provide detailed P&L and balance sheet commentary to business and operations leadership
• Conduct commercial analysis on lease renewals and rental savings for non-performing stores
• Develop financial models to support business expansion using capital budgeting methods such as NPV, IRR, payback period, and capital intensity
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, including standalone and consolidated financial models
• Review, validate, and challenge financial inputs provided by business teams
• Perform monthly closing analysis, including variance analysis against budget and prior year
• Monitor cost structures across business units and departments
• Track capital expenditure against budget and prepare monthly capex reporting packs
• Review provisions, accruals, and credit notes to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Liaise closely with Retail Operations, Buying and Planning, Marketing, Accounting, Payroll, and other internal stakeholders
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounting, and commercial analysis
• Proven expertise in Power BI dashboard development and financial modeling
• Solid understanding of retail KPIs, cost control, and profitability analysis
• Experience managing P&L and balance sheet reviews within a retail or consumer business
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and support senior leadership decision-making
