Finance Manager
Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing specific accounting functions, such as general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, or cost control. This is a hands-on management role that ensures the accuracy of financial data and supports the overall goals of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:

• Functional Oversight: Manage a specific team within the accounting department (e.g., GL, AP, Payroll), ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Month-End Close: Lead the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned areas.
• Payroll Management: Oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all employees and compliance with tax regulations.
• Accounts Payable: Supervise the accounts payable function, ensuring invoices are processed correctly and payments are made according to terms.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports and schedules for review by the Assistant Director or Director of Finance.
• Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve processes within their area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Experience in a specific accounting function (e.g., payroll, AP, general ledger).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
