Our client is a SME manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products in the bespoke furniture industry. With a commitment to innovation, speed and excellence, they have established ourselves as a key player in the market. As they continue to grow, we are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Finance Manager, working directly for the CEO, and contribute to the financial success of the organization, bringing the accounts \'in-house\' for the first time.The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the manufacturing operations. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and possess a keen attention to detail.Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee cost accounting processes, including analyzing production costs and recommending cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted costs.
  • Conduct month-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports.
  • Manage and reconcile inventory accounts.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist in coordinating external audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Handle all invoicing, credit control and liaising with the banks
  • VAT compliance
  • Dealing with year end audit
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • ACA/ACCA designation preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, XERO) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability to evolving business needs.
