About the APMT Tangier Finance team

In the role of Tangier Finance Manager you will work closely together with the APMT West Med CFO to manage the financial activities for the two Tangier container terminals and also be involved in the finance related activities of the Tangier Business Center, which is covering various functional Centre's of Excellence and Shared Service Centers.

The financial activities of the terminals was offshored to the Tangier Finance SSC, which is part of the Tangier Service Center, at the beginning of 2022. An important task of the Tangier Finance Manager is therefore to work closely together with the Tangier Finance SSC to make sure that the services are being delivered timely and correctly, and that ways of improving the way we work together are pursued continuously.

Key responsibilities of the role Collaborate closely with Accounting Manager in Tangier Finance SSC Team to ensure financial books are maintained correctly, closed on time and with high quality for all companies. Work closely with Head of Global Service Center and Global Workstream Process Owners on the continuous improvement of capabilities of, and services provided by Tangier Finance SSC Team. Liase between terminals and Tangier Finance SSC to make sure that the needs of the terminals are being met. Ensure all corporate administrative procedures are being followed timely and correctly (Board meetings, General Assembly meetings, update of company black book, update of legal registers, interaction with external auditors and update of company records in the Trade Court when required). Oversee cash flow needs of the companies, safeguarding their ability to operate and invest. Manage loans, share capital, as well as opportunities for paying out dividend to shareholders. Be point of contact with local JV partner ensuring APMT's obligations are adhered to, as outlined in respective Shareholder Agreements.

What we are looking for

Extensive knowledge of local accounting standards, accounting principles and practices, including some knowledge of international audit and finance reporting standards. Working knowledge of Management Accounting fundamentals and its applications. Familiar with best practices in the professional field of accounting and audit. University degree in finance or accounting. Qualification as a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant will be beneficial. At least 8-10 years of progressively higher responsibility of general accounting and finance experience. Strong communication skills (including verbal, non-verbal, written and presentation) and active listening skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with others outside of reporting authority to achieve shared goals Leadership skills with ability to empower others to take action. Develop and inspire others to accomplish set goals and encourage high standards of performance. Commands attention and lead by personal example. Handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion Strong analytical skills, including the ability to consider complex and ambiguous situations objectively with full consideration of causes, implications on business and stakeholders Detail oriented, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines Strong knowledge in computer skills and professional programs (i.e.: Microsoft Office, Database, EPR systems...).
