Synopsis
The Data Analyst will contribute to the analytics transformation process of Etihad's Finance division to turn it into a competitive advantage for the company by implementing data models and analytics tools to drive incremental cost savings and optimize the company financial performance.
Accountabilities
Collaborate with engineering teams to ingest, transform, and integrate data following enterprise standards.

• Visualization & Insight Delivery
• Develop clean, intuitive dashboards and analytical outputs.
• Validate definitions and figures with stakeholders; iterate for accuracy and usability.

Operationalization & Adoption

• Publish dashboards with proper metadata and usage guidance.
• Communicate results, promote adoption, and establish refresh cycles, enhancement processes, and governance

Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Definition

• Clarify business needs and desired outcomes through structured elicitation.
• Identify key decisions, KPIs, and success criteria.

Process & Current State Analysis

• Understand existing business processes, systems, and analysis.
• Review data sources, logic, and assumptions; highlight gaps between real-world processes and current data assets.

Data Foundation & Governance

• Validate authoritative data sources and assess quality, timeliness, and granularity.
• Design data models, dictionaries, metadata, lineage, and quality rules

Education & Experience

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or data science.
• 4+ years of relevant experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data science models.
• Knowledge of statistics and mathematical concepts
• Experience using data technologies (E.g., SQL, Databricks) and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, DataBricks1)
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining data models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive level stakeholders.
• Understanding of and experience in using AI tools (E.g., Copilot, GPT), professionally or personally
• Experience within the finance/aviation industry in the operational areas is a plus
